The Hindi Sentence Structure in The Works of Tulsidas

This booklet represents a shortened form of my C.Sc. thesis defended at the Oriental Institute of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences (Prague) as long ago as in 1962. Since that time, my interpretation of the Hindi syntactic system underwent some particular changes-a natural and inevitable consequence of development, although the conception re- mained unchanged in general. For details and new treatment of the Hindi Sentence Structure in synchrony and diachrony, the students may refer to my forthcoming "Hindi Syntag- matics" which will be published by the Deccan College, Poona, this year.
