The system of philosophy associated with the name of Ramanuja is known as Visistadvaita. Though this word does not occur in his works, it truly represents the panentheistic or organicismic idea of his system. The present work is a comparative and critical study of some of the fundamental metaphysical problems pancaratra school and the alvars.
